In the latest iteration of their public feud, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Sen. Ted Cruz exchanged Twitter jabs Thursday afternoon on the topic of NBA Finals viewership.

Cruz, who has been critical of the NBA's social justice movement, responded to a tweet Thursday from sports columnist Clay Travis that was directed at Cuban where Travis said that the NBA Finals were experiencing a forty-year low ratings low.

"He’s a sensitive guy & gets very upset when anyone points out that the NBA is deliberately destroying their business by insulting & driving away their own fans," Cruz tweeted about Cuban. "Odd, that people don’t want Lefty lectures with their sports."

Cuban responded by mentioning that the NBA has successfully conducted its resumption of their season without a COVID-19 outbreak, whereas multiple officials in the White House have tested positive in recent weeks.

"Teddy, in the spirit of détente, I'll get the @NBA to show the White House how to protect all your friends so they don't get sick any more," Cuban Tweeted. "We have gone months with no cases. Then possibly they can learn what it takes to keep people safe and open up the economy. Deal ?"

This exchange comes just two days after Cuban said Cruz was "full of (expletive)" for citing the NBA "turning everything to left-wing political culture" as the reason why the NBA Finals ratings were so low.

You are so full of shit. You haven’t watched a game of the finals, how would you know what is being said or done? Since when is a desire to end racism an insult to anyone or political? And you don’t think using #GetWokeGoBroke is a partisan insult? Again, this is who you are. https://t.co/uKfHGV7IGc
