STILL GLAD ALL OVER MANCHESTER
ANDROS IN ACTION
Andros Townsend opened the goalscoring this evening, and he's been reflecting on the result, his side's start to the season and his new captain.
“We know we’ve got quality in the squad. We showed it at times last season, and this season we’ve added one or two good young players.
“We knew it was United’s first game and we thought maybe we could catch them cold. We did that in the first five minutes, and once we get ahead, we know we're a very well drilled team.
“(Wilfried Zaha was) Incredible. He’s an incredible talent and he’s proved that here for the last six or seven years. He captained the side today, and it was a real captain’s performance. We’re very fortunate to have him in our ranks and hopefully we can have him for a while longer yet.”
