LISANDRO MARTINEZ is the latest Ajax star tipped to make the move to Manchester United along with Erik ten Hag.
The Argentina centre-half has been added to incoming Red Devils boss Ten Hag's wish list, according to The Telegraph.
The 24-year-old moved from Argentina club football to join the Dutch giants in 2019 and has helped win two Eredivisie titles.
The Telegraph article points out Martinez is adept at playing out from the back and suited to Ten Hag's 'one-v-one defensive tactic'.
The six-cap star has three seasons left on his Ajax deal and is valued at about £25million.
Defence is an area Ten Hag needs to sort quickly in a United side which has conceded more goals than all but seven teams in the Prem this season – and five of them are in the bottom six.

United are also reportedly eyeing a move for Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt, 22, who played under Ten Hag at Ajax before joining the Old Lady in 2019.

Ten Hag might also plunder Ajax to strengthen his wide options at United with a move for exciting Brazil winger Antony, 22,
The Red Devils are also expected to battle Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in the race to land Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, 25, if the Catalans decide to sell their £65m-rated star.
United will almost certainly have to strengthen in the middle of the park with Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata all set to depart this summer.
