MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Watford's teenage defender Harry Amass.
The highly-rated left-back, 16, signed an early scholarship deal to keep him at Vicarage Road until he is 18.
As a result, it means Man Utd will have to pay compensation to Watford under the Premier League’s Elite Player Performance Plan.
According to Manchester Evening News, the transfer has not been "officially completed".
But a "deal has been agreed" between the two clubs as Amass prepares to move to Old Trafford.
The defender joined Watford seven years ago and established himself as an exciting prospect.

He has already featured for the Hornets' U18 and U21 sides.
Amass, who is set to represent England at the U17 World Cup later this year, also made it onto Watford's first-team bench for their FA Cup tie against Reading in January, but did not make his debut.
Watford offered him a two-year professional contract in an attempt to keep him beyond his scholarship deal.
But due to Amass' age, the club have been forced to wait for him to turn 17 before agreeing a deal.

And Man Utd are now poised to steal him away.
Meanwhile, Amass is set to be the first of several signings for Erik ten Hag this summer.
The Dutch head coach is reportedly looking to axe 13 players from his squad to make way for fresh faces.
The list of departures includes club captain Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho, Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial.
These exits come as United eye moves for Andre Onana, Mason Mount, Adrien Rabiot and Randal Kolo Muani.
