BAYERN MUNICH have reportedly joined Arsenal and Manchester United in the race for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria.
The 25-year-old has entered the last six months of his contract and is unwilling to consider staying at Monchengladbach once it expires.
The German side are open to cashing in on him whilst they still can, with Arsenal and Manchester United both interested.
Reports last week suggested that the Red Devils had already offered the player a contract and would rather pay a fee this month than wait until the summer.
But, Bayern Munich are now seriously considering a swoop and are the current favorites to secure his signature.
The Bundesliga title holders are said to be hopeful of signing Zakaria on a free transfer in the summer as a replacement for Corentin Tolisso, whose contract also expires in June.
Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg recently tweeted: "He [Zakaria] is a potential candidate to replace Tolisso in summer.
"The decision-makers agree that he could strengthen the team.

Zakaria has been at Borussia Monchengladbach since 2017 and has made over 100 appearances in total.
This season he has appeared 17 times, scoring twice and earning one assist.
