INTER MILAN are reportedly lining up a summer move for Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba.

The Serie A champions want 32-year-old defender Alba to boost their defensive options.

Inter have just lost Ashley Young, who rejoined Aston Villa, and Mundo Deportivo report that Alba is a potential replacement.

The Italian side are under new leadership with Simone Inzaghi replacing Antonio Conte as manager.

Alba is under contract for three more years at the Nou Camp.

But Barcelona are trying to trim their wage bill in light of LaLiga salary cap restrictions.

And the Catalan side have two in-demand left-backs with Alba joined by Junior Firpo, 24.

Recent reports also suggest that Barca are chasing German left-back Robin Gosens.

Alba has been at Barcelona since 2012 after joining from Valencia.

He has won five LaLiga titles in Spain and also the Champions League in 2015.
