JORGE MASVIDAL warned rival Colby Covington 'I'm going to f***ing break your face' ahead of their bitter grudge match.

The former friends-turned sworn enemies are finally scheduled to settle their score in the octagon.

It promises to end years of feuding with bragging rights and reputations on the line.

Covington last year posed with who he claimed was Masvidal's ex-wife Maritza and called his rival a 'piece of s*** father' in an interview with The Mac Life.

Now with the pair due to headline UFC 272 on March 5 in Las Vegas, Masvidal vowed to make Covington pay for his words.

He said on The MMA Hour: "I'm going to f***ing break your face man.

"Everything that you said, we're gonna have to see what's up when we get in the cage, you know.

"This is an individual that obviously, I don't think anybody likes him, anybody.

"Somebody's talking about ex-teammates' wives and stuff like for what? You're going to fight the dude or the chick?"

Masvidal, 37, enjoyed a meteoric rise in 2019 with wins over Darren Till, 29, Ben Askren, 37 and Nate Diaz, 36.

It saw him then challenge for the welterweight title against Kamaru Usman, 34, in July 2020 but only after filling in on late notice.

He was beaten on points only to be brutally knocked out in their April 2021 rematch, leaving Masvidal without a win in over two years.

For Covington, 33, he has also lost twice by the welterweight champion, but both were razor thin results.

Masvidal was also embroiled in a pre-fight feud with Usman, but admitted it was nothing compared to his history with Covington, who he formerly lived with.

He revealed: "They're all business but if it was to be something personal, this is one of the more closer ones.

"That's because this individual lived on my couch for a year. While he had a broken hand, he was living off my couch, eating my meal prep.

"I was already sponsored whilst he was an amateur coming in the world.

"It just puts a lot of things into perspective, you come into this world alone you probably out alone as well. This guy's just a legit state."
