HARRY MAGUIRE'S brother Laurence raged after being sent off for Chesterfield in the National League today – on the weekend his older sibling prepares for his Manchester United debut four levels up.

A loud bang was heard as furious Maguire Jr headed into the changing rooms after his straight red card for a foul on Boreham Wood midfielder Kieran Murtagh in the 60th minute.

Laurence – a powerhouse centre-back just like his £85million bruv – had been outstanding before that moment in a 2-2 draw.

The 22-year-old has been with Chesterfield all his senior career, except for a brief spell on loan with AFC Fylde last term.

And after the Spireites struggled in their first campaign since dropping out of the EFL, the pre-season promotion favourites are fourth bottom from three games this time around.

With Maguire impressive at the back, Chesterfield fought back from two-goal Boreham Wood striker Kabongo Tshimanga's early penalty to lead 2-1.

Scott Boden and Jonathan Smith bagged rebound goals before the break, only for DR Congo-born Tshimanga to hit a deflected leveller just before Maguire's dismissal.

Meanwhile, Maguire Sr was arriving at Manchester's Lowry Hotel and being tipped by Old Trafford legend Rio Ferdinand to handle the heat of becoming the world's costliest defender.

Ferdinand told BT Sport: "It's huge pressure. I remember when I went to United and every training session you are thinking about the price tag.

"That's what he would have been brought in for [the captaincy].

"Initially though he has enough pressure just to perform, let alone to be captain. He needs to perform first.

"From people I've spoken to he will handle the pressure and has broad shoulders."
