Goldberg nearly came to blows with his WWE rival Dolph Ziggler in a Las Vegas restaurant.
The 52-year-old has not competed in a WWE ring since SummerSlam in August where he beat Ziggler in under two minutes.
Ziggler continued to taunt Goldberg after the match but was on the receiving end of two spears from the former WCW and WWE heavyweight champion.
Goldberg has made sporadic appearances since returning to WWE in 2016 and another rivalry could be on the cards following his clash with Ziggler in Las Vegas on Friday.
In a video posted by Goldberg on Instagram, the pair exchanged words but were held back before any punches could be thrown.
It is not yet known if the pair will face each other again in a rematch but Goldberg has shown no indication that he is ready to retire just yet.
Earlier this month, Goldberg admitted he was keen to face Cain Velasquez, the former two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion who made his wrestling debut for Lucha Libre AAA in August.
‘I’d smash him in the ring,’ said Goldberg.
‘I’d wrestle Cain in the ring in two seconds. I’d wrestle anybody.
‘He’s got a lot of potential.
‘Look at Ken Shamrock, he was the first guy to make that transition and to be able to blend the forms of MMA into wrestling.
‘You see fighters who have over the top characters and they’re perfect to make the transition to wrestling.’
