ARSENAL fans are certain Kieran Tierney's arrival is just a matter of time – after he was pictured "copying" Nicolas Pepe's celebration.
Pepe completed his £72million club-record move to the Emirates yesterday.
When he was at Lille, the Ivory Coast star, 24, who has signed a five-year deal in North London, would put the side of his hand over his eyes.
And a photo doing the rounds on social media today appeared to show Celtic star Tierney doing the same.
But not everything was quite as it seemed.
The photo of 22-year-old Tierney – who it was rumoured could complete his deal this week – was from June and merely showed him shielding sunlight from his eyes during a Hoops training session in Austria.
Still, it did not stop some Arsenal fans from putting two and two together to make five.
One wrote alongside the photo: "Even Tierney is on the Pepe hype train, just the matter of time."
Another said: "Kieran Tierney already knew Nicolas Pepe was coming to Arsenal."
Arsenal fans should be counting their lucky stars that they managed to sign Pepe – let alone Tierney as well.
Liverpool were interested in the winger too and Jurgen Klopp had "enormous desire" to buy him.
However the move broke down because Liverpool could not promise him regular first-team football.
Instead Pepe is now looking forward to his PAL line-up alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
The trio even did the same celebration too.
He said: “When I knew I was coming to Arsenal, I immediately thought of all the guys who have played in France.
“The world champions, of Lacazette, Aubameyang and many more.
“Of course these are the players who sprang to mind because I used to watch them when I was at Lille.
“I have had the opportunity to play against Lacazette when he was with Lyon — and now it will be an honour to be alongside him.
“Being here is very emotional, because it has not been easy for me.
“I have come a long way and struggled a lot — so signing for this great club is a big reward."
