Gary Anderson was caught cheekily flipping the V on stage following Scotland's defeat to Wales in the 2023 World Cup of Darts final.
He and Peter Wright were powerless to stop Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton from storming to an emphatic 10-2 victory in Frankfurt and the Flying Scotsman marked the occasion with a delightfully rude gesture.
As he turned away from the baying crowd, Anderson shouted in the direction of MC John McDonald before playfully sticking two fingers up at him, struggling to hide a wry smile.
The Sky Sports cameras hurriedly cut away, but the footage of the moment quickly went viral on social media, with fans branding Anderson a "legend".

"Hahaha Gary Anderson flashing John McDonald the V’s before the presentation. Love it," one fan tweeted.
"Gary Anderson what a legend," another said, while a third added: "Absolute top bloke Gary Anderson. In good spirits despite the defeat."
Another joked: "Got to hand it to Gary, reminding John McDonald how many legs Scotland won in case he lost track haha."

The defeat was a disappointing end to an otherwise impressive tournament for the Scots, who beat France 8-0 in the quarter-finals and Germany 8-5 in the semi-finals to set up the showpiece encounter with Wales.
After the final Anderson admitted that he and Wright were well beaten, conceding that Wales had a "cracking team".
"You've got Gerwyn and what he's done in darts over the last few years – it's bad enough playing against Gezzy, but then you've got Jonny banging them in. We aren't getting any younger but we're still trying. We got to the final and any more's a bonus."
