A JAPANESE football team fielded a team of Wayne Rooney's and David Beckham's by scoring from the halfway line TWICE… in 90 seconds.
Second division side Montedio Yamagata romped to a 3-0 win over Ehime thanks to two wonder strikes from midfielders Shun Nakamura and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto.
But it was a horrific afternoon for away keeper Masahiro Okamoto, who surpassed the likes of Ben Foster and Neil Sullivan by getting lobbed from distance twice.
Takahiro Yanagi had put home side Yamagata into a 38th-minute lead during the J2 League clash at the ND Soft Stadium on Sunday.
But the two Beckham-esque finishes came midway through the second half after Ehime sloppily conceded possession with a loose pass.
Yamagata star Shun Nakamura pounced on the ball and, spotting Okamoto well off his line, produced a spectacular long-range effort that sailed over the keeper into the net.
Clearly inspired by his midfield partner's goal of the season contender, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto submitted his own attempt just 90 seconds later.
In a carbon copy of the first, the 23-year-old tried his luck from range with Okamoto again floundering in no man's land.
Although Sakamoto failed to connect cleanly, the keeper struggled to sort his feet out and dived despairingly as the ball bounced past him into the net.
Fortunately for Okamoto, there were no more goals in the match as Yamagata cruised to the three points with a comfortable 3-0 win.
