Week 10 is the one fantasy football owners have been dreading all season. The schedule-makers have six teams on bye this week, which could cause many teams' lineups to look like Swiss cheese.
Now, how to fill those holes? You may not get the full-time production the players on bye might provide, but something is better than nothing.
Recommended bids based on a free agent acquisition budget (FAAB) of $100 for the season.
BEST BETS
RB Kenyan Drake, Arizona Cardinals ($15). We listed Drake among our top pickups last week even before he rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 52 yards on Thursday night. David Johnson is expected back for Week 10, but may continue to be somewhat limited the rest of the season. Drake has earned a healthy share of the workload regardless.

WR Zach Pascal, Indianapolis Colts ($13). The Colts may be without top wide receiver T.Y. Hilton for several weeks, but Pascal stepped forward in Week 9 with five catches on six targets for 76 yards and a touchdown. If you miss out on Pascal, slot receiver Chester Rogers will also see an increase in targets because of Parris Campbell's broken hand. Another bonus: The Colts play the Dolphins next.
RB Jaylen Samuels, Pittsburgh Steelers ($12). Thrust into the starting lineup by James Conner’s injury, Samuels rushed for 10 yards on eight carries. But he showed off his worth in the passing game, catching all 13 of his targets for 73 yards. Even if Conner is ready to reclaim the starting job, Samuels should continue to contribute, especially in point-per-reception formats.
Also consider (if available): RB Ronald Jones, Tampa Bay Buccaneers; WR DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins; WR Cole Beasley, Buffalo Bills; WR Hunter Renfrow, Oakland Raiders.
REPLACEMENTS
RB Kalen Ballage, Miami Dolphins ($8). The late-breaking news that starter Mark Walton has been suspended for four games thrusts Ballage into the lead role. Ballage hasn't rushed for more than 20 yards in any game this season, but the increased workload should give him a decent chance this week. His biggest problem is Miami's poor offense not generating scoring chances.
TE Noah Fant, Denver Broncos ($3). Fant was last week’s breakout tight end after he hauled in four receptions for 115 yards (including a 75-yard touchdown). The Broncos are among the teams on bye in Week 10, so you might be able to wait a week to add him.
TE Jacob Hollister, Seattle Seahawks ($2). For more immediate help, Hollister caught four passes for 37 yards and two of Russell Wilson's five TDs. Will Dissly's season-ending injury has opened the door for Hollister and Luke Willson to see more targets. However …
WR Josh Gordon, Seattle Seahawks. Almost every single team passed on making a waiver claim on Gordon after he was released by the Patriots, leaving the 7-2 Seahawks to snap him up. Who knows how much he contributes, but he's worth stashing with the hope he can contribute after Seattle's Week 11 bye.
QB Nick Foles, Jacksonville Jaguars. The Gardner Minshew Experience will go on hiatus after the Jags' bye week as their former starter has sufficiently recovered from the broken collarbone he suffered in the season opener. Another stash candidate for Andy Dalton/Case Keenum owners — or those in deep leagues.
