LOGAN PAUL has admitted he regrets choosing to fight Dillon Danis as their rivalry looks on course to drag on.

Paul won their boxing match after the jujitsu champion-turned MMA fighter got himself disqualified in the sixth and final round.

It followed after Danis spent several months attacking Paul's fiancee Nina Agdal online which resulted in the model filing a lawsuit.

Paul claimed in the build up that he had no regrets in picking to face the renowned internet troll.

But after his soon-to-be wife was put through such "torment", the YouTube, WWE and boxing star backtracked.

Paul said on his podcast: "I lied in the build-up when I said I didn’t regret choosing him as a partner.

“I’m eternally sorry for Nina. I’ll spend the rest of my life apologising if I have to for putting her through that kind of torment.

"It’s inhumane what he did. She’ll hold him accountable. But this is my life, I dragged her into this social media fight bulls***.

"She did not sign up for this. I mean she did, she did of course but she didn't know and neither did I.

"I don't think anyone knew the extent to which he would take things. No fight organisation or promotion has ever seen this type of build-up, this is gnarly.

"And no fighter, I think, has a partner who can be exploited in the way that Nina can.”

Paul, 28, got his revenge in the ring after dominating Danis, 30, for six rounds before his rival was DQ'd for attempting an MMA-style takedown.

And following Paul's post-fight revelation, Danis warned the mental warfare is not yet over.

Quoting his training partner Conor McGregor, he posted: "I’m not done yet should of killed me when you had the chance."
