FRANK LAMPARD has completely reshuffled his Chelsea side for their pre-season clash against St Patrick's Athletic following their 1-1 draw against Bohemians.

The Blues boss started a youthful side in his first outing in charge of the West London side, but sent home eight young players back to London after the match on Wednesday.

The academy players are expected to be shipped off on loan, despite the likes of Marc Guehi, Dujon Sterling and Conor Gallagher impressing.

Trevoh Chalobah, Lewis Baker, Lucas Piazon, Izzy Brown and Ike Ugbo have also all returned back to England.

Of the players that started in the draw against Bohemians, only Willy Caballero and Michy Batshuayi have kept their place in the side.

A back four consists of Davide Zappacosta, David Luiz, Fikayo Tomori and Emerson Palmieri.

Lampard has opted to start four central midfielders, with Mason Mount getting a start alongside Jorginho, Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic.

Partnering Batshuayi up top is former Aston Villa and Swansea loanee Tammy Abraham who will be looking to show what he is capable of.

Blues fan favourite Cesar Azpilicueta has revealed that senior members of the squad will look after their younger team-mates.

The Spaniard said: "He [Lampard] is very keen to give opportunities to the younger players.
