CHELSEA take on Bournemouth in a tricky Premier League test – and Poch's side will be desperate to get back to winning ways.

The Blues spent a whopping £380million on ten players this summer but still suffered defeat to Steve Cooper's Nottingham Forest before the international break.

And they'll be hoping to bounce back against a Bournemouth side who are still seeking their first win of the season under new gaffer Andoni Iraola.

    Blues bring out Bournemouth best

They may have lost both games against them last season, but usually Bournemouth love playing Chelsea.

In fact, the Cherries have only won more Premier League games against Leicester and Everton (both 5) than they have against the Blues (4).

However, three of their four victories against the Londoners have come at Stamford Bridge.

    Blues odds-on for success

Mauricio Pochettino hasn't won any of his last 12 away matches as a Premier League boss, but that hasn't stopped the bookmakers from chalking the Blues up as odds-on favourites for today's clash.

    • Bournemouth win 16/5
    • Draw 14/5
    • Chelsea win 8/11

Good afternoon from the Vitality Stadium

Welcome to our live coverage of the Premier League match between AFC Bournemouth and Chelsea.

It's been a slow start to the season for the big-spending Blues, but the Londoners will be hoping that the international break was a chance to reset.

A disappointing defeat at home to Nottingham Forest last time out has the alarm bells ringing once again at Stamford Bridge, and new boss Mauricio Pochettino is desperately in search of solutions to ensure there is no repeat of last season's shambolic campaign.

An encounter with the Cherries hasn't always brought the best out of the Londoners, although they did do the double over them last season; their win here in March was their only victory in the final 14 games of 2022-23.

Like Chelsea (well, not that much like them, to be honest), Bournemouth have a new boss and have splashed the cash in the transfer market over the summer.

Androni Iraola is now in charge at the Vitality, and he too is looking to quickly gel his squad together in order to climb the table.

Kick-off on the south coast is at 2pm, and we'll have the official team news shortly.
