British rapper Big Narstie makes hilarious blunder after revealing he MIXED UP US Open champion Emma Raducanu with former Arsenal legend Nwankwo Kanu when agreeing to appear in Sports Direct Christmas ad
- Tennis sensation Emma Raducanu won the US Open in September aged just 18
- Nwankwo Kanu spent 14 seasons in English football with three different clubs
- Nigerian won two Premier League titles and two FA Cups in six years at Arsenal
- Kanu won 2008 FA Cup with Portsmouth following two seasons at West Brom
- Rapper Big Narstie thought he was meeting Nigerian instead of tennis star
Emma Raducanu may be one of Britain’s most popular athletes right now, but it would appear she can still be confused with a former Premier League star.
Earlier this month, the teenager appeared in Sports Direct’s Christmas advert alongside Manchester City’s midfielder Jack Grealish and a host of other sport stars.
Rapper Big Narstie also appeared in the clip, where he expected to come across former Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu following a rather embarrassing mix-up.

The British rapper (pictured above) admitted the blunder during his TV show on Channel 4
The TV show host revealed he had agreed to feature on the Christmas ad as he wanted to meet the Nigerian, but was left surprised when the US Open champion showed up instead.
‘They said, “Yeah you’re gonna be with Kanu” so I’m like, “This is gonna be lit”,’ he said on Channel 4’s ‘The Big Narstie Show’, according to The Sun.
‘I’m in this ting now’ and I was like, “Where’s Kanu?” And you know it was a girl.’
The US Open triumph propelled Raducanu into the top-25 players in the world
The Briton lost in the round of 16 of the Upper Austria Ladies Open this week
‘Do you know how mad I was bruv? It was this girl, she’s a big superstar tennis player.
‘I didn’t hear the Emma Radu part, all I heard was Kanu.’
Raducanu developed into tennis’ latest sensation in September, when she became the first British women to win a Grand Slam tournament since Virginia Wade triumphed at Wimbledon in 1977 after beating Bianca Andreescu in the US Open final.
The win propelled the 18-year-old to break into the world’s top-25, but Raducanu has struggled for form since.

The Nigerian also spent six seasons at Portsmouth, with whom he won the 2008 FA Cup
She lost at the first round at Indian Wells in September and was knocked out in the quarter finals of the Transylvania Open the following month, before being eliminated in the round of 16 of the Upper Austria Ladies Open this week.
A gold medallist with Nigeria at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Kanu spent 14 seasons in England with Arsenal, West Bromwich and Portsmouth winning two Premier League titles and three FA Cups.
Now a Unicef goodwill ambassador, the Nigerian also won the Champions League with Ajax and the UEFA Cup with Inter Milan.
