PHILIPPE COUTINHO'S agent has asserted that the Barcelona player will not move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Club bosses want to keep the Brazilian in La Liga amid speculation he will be used as bait to lure Neymar from Parc des Princes.
Following reports in Spain that Coutinho had given his green light to being part of the deal, his agent spoke out.
Kia Joorabchian insisted that Barcelona's general manager, Pep Segura, was committed to keeping the player.
The agent told RMC on Wednesday: "I spoke in the past few days with Pep Segura in Barcelona.
"He told me that the club did not want to sell Coutinho this summer – whatever the price.
"And we have had no contact with PSG for Coutinho."
Barcelona's strong links to Neymar have only grown in the early weeks of the summer, the winger reportedly telling PSG chiefs that he wants a return to Catalonia.
In an effort to build a viable bid for the Brazilian, Barcelona stars Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele find themselves on the back pages as part of the potential deal.
Neymar is due to partake in Les Parisiens' first day back at pre-season training on Monday but there are suggestions he may refuse to turn up.
Should the winger publicly demand a switch to the Camp Nou, the pressure will be on Barcelona to gather the funds or personnel to seal his return.
