ARSENAL are sweating on the fitness of Bukayo Saka for this weekend as their star man hobbled off injured in the win over Sevilla in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has called for rival Prem managers to join war on VAR.
It comes after Newcastle beat the Gunners via a controversial winner on Saturday.
Anthony Gordon's 64th-minute strike survived threeseparate VAR checks before it was eventually given.
Meanwhile, midfielder Thomas Partey has reportedly told Arsenal he wants to leave the club amid interest from Italian giants Juventus.

Rice speechless by Keown blunder
Martin Keown committed a howler on live TV during Arsenal's win over Sevilla.
And Gunners ace Declan Rice was lost for words as the incident was replayed on TNT Sport.
Keown's faux pas saw him struggle to control a ball while wearing shiny shoes.
But Rio Ferdinand was loving it as he bantered his former rival on the touchline.

Exclusive – Arsenal open to Partey offers
Arsenal are ready to listen to offers for the injury-prone Thomas Partey in January.
The 30-year-old Ghana international is likely to be ruled out of action for the rest of the year after suffering a thigh problem in training last week.
Even if the player can achieve his target of a New Year’s comeback, he is due to head to the Ivory Coast for the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
And that has persuaded the club to cash in during the next transfer window after initially planning to look for a buyer next summer.

VAR change for Premier League
World Cup-style VAR is set to arrive in the Premier League next season.
Club bosses voted against semi-automated offside technology and its “limb-tracking” cameras last summer, despite it being installed by top-flight clubs in Uefa competitions.
But recent events appear to have changed their minds.
SunSport has been told that Prem bosses have already spoken to a number of companies who could also provide chip-in-ball technology.

Keown hits back at ‘average’ verdict on Saliba
Arsenal legend Martin Keown “can’t understand” ex-Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly rating William Saliba as only “average”.
Former England ace Keown reckons Gunners’ centre-back Saliba has “everything” and is currently “one of the best defenders in Europe”.
It follows Desailly saying of his fellow Frenchman: “I don’t believe his individual qualities to be above average. He’s at a very, very high level but not extraordinary.”
In contrast, Keown’s verdict on Saliba for TNT Sports was: “His pace is phenomenal. His power. He reads the situation really well.
“We love having him at Arsenal because he’s physical and has everything you need.
“‘He has everything you need. He’s aggressive and I think he has everything he needs.
“I am really surprised by that (Desailly) comment.”

End of the Partey?
Arsenal are tipped to weigh up selling injury-hit anchorman Thomas Partey.
The Ghana midfielder has amassed over 100 appearances since arriving from Atletico Madrid for £45m three years ago.
But the Gunners are understood to be ready to sever ties with the Ghana international due to his injury concerns.
SunSport have revealed that the club would be ready to move him on as soon as January.

Prem clubs vote on new rule for loan signings
Premier League clubs are set to vote on a huge rule change ahead of the January transfer window, writes JOSHUA JONES and MARTIN LIPTON.
And should it go through, the laws would be a big blow for Newcastle.
Premier League clubs are prepared to vote on a proposal to ban loans between associated clubs with the same owners.
The report claims the 20 top-flight sides may fast-track the new temporary legislation at the next shareholders meeting on November 21.
A minimum of 14 votes are required from the 20 clubs – a two-thirds majority – in order to pass the new rule through immediately.
That would be enough to cover the January window before a long-term solution is found in time for the summer.
The idea is that the Premier League want to protect the integrity of the competition.
The suggested rule is not explicitly being put forward to stop Ruben Neves from joining Newcastle on loan – although that would be a deal in jeopardy.
Both the Toon and Al-Hilal are majority-owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.
As things stand, there is nothing preventing a club signing a player and then loaning or even selling the same individual to one of their other teams when the transfer market reopens.

Prem boost over Mbappe
Prem giants might be in a frenzy over reports Real Madrid have sensationally ruled out a swoop for Kylian Mbappe.
The Spanish giants were strongly linked with the France strike superstar in the last two summer transfer windows.
In 2022 Los Blancos felt that they had sealed a deal to sign him, only for Mbappe to shock them by signing a two-year extension with PSG.
Mbappe, 24, is once again in the final year of his deal at Parc des Princes. He has been widely expected to this time sign for Real Madrid.
But according to Spanish outlet Cadena Ser, the LaLiga side will NOT be making a move for him.
They claim that Real Madrid deem Mbappe’s salary demands to be too high.
It’s reported that the France forward would demand at least £330,000 a week to move to Madrid. By contrast, Jude Bellingham is claimed to earn £150k a week.

'Ramsdale not world class'
Rumoured Chelsea target Aaron Ramsdale is not "world-class" .
That's the verdict of ex-Stamford Bridge defender Glen Johnson as Ramsdale remains second-choice Arsenal keeper behind David Raya.
Johnson told Betfred: “He’s certainly put in some world-class performances for Arsenal, but can he do that every week? Obviously not, otherwise Mikel Arteta wouldn’t have dropped him.
“I don’t believe he’s been dropped due to his performances, I believe he’s been dropped because Mikel Arteta prefers David Raya.
"I’m torn between the two of them because I like them both, but if Ramsdale was world-class then he wouldn’t have been dropped in the first place.
"To be deemed a world-class goalkeeper you need to be playing for your country, you need to be performing in the Champions League and you need to be playing for a team that has a chance of winning the league. If you’re not doing that, then you can’t be deemed world-class.”

Mikel delighted with win
Mikel Arteta hailed Arsenal's aggressive ball-winning in their 2-0 Champiojns League group win over Sevilla at the Emirates.
The Gunners' boss told TNT Sports: "I'm really happy with the performance from the team
"They showed aggression and commitment. Even when we lost the ball we were incredibly good to get it back. It's hard in Europe to control it how we did.

Arteta upbeat over Saka injury
Mikel Arteta is confident Bukayo Saka's late injury is nothing serious.
The winger hobbled off after teeing up Leandro Trossard's opener and classily firing Arsenal's second as his scintillating display sunk Sevilla 2-0.
Boss Arteta said:“At the end he wasn’t comfortable to carry on. Hopefully it’s not too much but I’m really pleased with his performance.
“I think he’s getting used to it (being kicked). I don’t think that’s going to change, especially with the way he plays and the way he attracts players, so he better get used to it because I don’t think it’s going to change.
“It was just a kick and I was told by the physios on the radio he wasn’t happy to continue. So he will have some discomfort but hopefully I am going to assume he will be OK.”

How Arsenal subs rated
Oleksandr Zinchenko – 8
Injected pace and creativity when he came on and nearly made it 3-0 with a rasping Volley on 65 minutes.
Reiss Nelson – 6
Jakub Kiwior – 6
Fabio Vieira – 6
Mohamed Elneny – 6

Gunners' strike ratings
Bukayo Saka – 10
Take a bow Saka. It was no surprise when he assisted Trossard’s opener with a cracking pass given that he was the beating heart of nearly every promising Gunners attack tonight.
He produced an inch-perfect free-kick delivery early on but no one could make the crucial touch and constantly made a nuisance of himself throughout.
Clearly he and Trossard are a match made in heaven, with the winger assisting all five of the Belgian’s goals this season.
Made it 2-0 with a blistering run, cut back and red-hot finish for his 44th Gunners goal at just 22-years-old.
Gabriel Martinelli – 9
Martinelli's driving runs down the left wreaked havoc for Sevilla and he had Juanlu on toast, running him ragged. He even ran around him twice at one point.
Sadly there was no Gunners striker to bury the many chances he created but he did produce a lovely link up with Saka for the second goal.
Leandro Trossard – 9
Buried a tap-in for the opener with an ice-cool finish to make it five goals across all competitions this season. Lively after the break too.

Arsenal midfield ratings
Declan Rice – 8
Ex-West Ham Rice looked every inch the £105million player that Arsenal paid for. He rarely puts a foot wrong and is so influential in midfield.
Jorginho – 8
The Italian midfielder produced a beautiful through ball to unlock the Sevilla defence to reach Saka for the opener.
Without that peach of a pass the Gunners wouldn’t have broken the deadlock.
Kai Havertz – 6
Once again Havertz missed an absolute sitter with a header three yards from goal less than a minute in. More evidence he isn’t clinical enough.

How Arsenal rated – defence
David Raya – 7
The Spanish stopper didn’t have much to do in either half but was calm and composed throughout.
He mopped up the damage when Mariano Diaz nearly set up a goal for the visitors in the second-half.
Ben White – 6
He sometimes lacked urgency and pressure on the ball. There was lots of overlapping with no real end product.
There were social media shouts for him to be hauled off at half-time instead of Tomiyasu.
William Saliba – 8
A brilliant performance at centre-back to show why he is currently one of the best defenders in not only the Premier League but also Europe.
He produced a jaw-dropping tackle by sliding in to take the ball off Adria Pedrosa who was bursting towards goal. It was a crucial tackle to stifle one of the only glimpses of the visitors’ attacking threat.
Gabriel – 7
The defender headed wide a free header from Saka’s corner – wasting a peach of a chance for the Gunners early on. Solid defensively though.
Takehiro Tomiyasu – 6
Japan's Tomiyasu was solid before coming off at half-time for Zinchenko but did give the ball away sloppily before the break.

Latest: Arsenal 1-0 Sevilla
Recalled Leandro Trossard made the breakthrough on 30 minutes.
It's more a reward for Arsenal possession than clear chances, despite Saka and Gabriel Martinelli showing up well down the flanks.
