It took his latest run-in with the law, but troubled wide receiver Antonio Brown admitted some wrongdoing on his part.

“I put myself in a bad predicament,’’ he told USA Today Sports on Tuesday. “I’m out of it now, man. Unfortunate situation, but we don’t make excuses and we’re going to make the best of it.’’

Brown, a seven-time Pro Bowler, was freed by a Florida judge from wearing an ankle monitor and being under house arrest on Tuesday. A week ago, he was charged with burglary with battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and criminal mischief. It stemmed from an alleged assault of a moving-truck driver who was parked in front of his Hollywood, Fla. home. The 31-year-old Brown will have to check in with court personnel daily.

His trainer, Glenn Holt, was arrested and charged with one count of burglary with battery. A police report said the altercation began because Brown refused to pay $4,000 to the driver to release his household goods. When the driver drove away, he said Brown threw a rock at his truck, creating a dent and chipping paint, the report read. When the drive wanted an extra $869 for the damage, Brown refused, though he did pay the initial $4,000. Another verbal argument ensued and Brown climbed into the truck and tried to pull the driver out as his trainer went to grab the car key.

The charges Brown faces didn’t seem to humble him. After the court appearance, he had his shirt off, posed for photos with fans and sang along to “God,” the Kendrick Lamar song. At one point, he said: “Hey, this what God feels like.”

“I’m planning to come back to the NFL,” Brown said.

It remains to be seen if that’s possible. He was cut by the Raiders in the preseason after several run-ins with the team. He played in just one game, with the Patriots, this past season before allegations of sexual misconduct led to his released. He’s currently facing a civil suit for allegedly raping his former trainer. But returning to the gridiron remains his focus.

“I think I’ve got a shot,’’ he said.

Getting out of the ankle monitor was at least a step in the right direction.
