ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE has fired a warning to Arsenal's rivals and declared: “You've seen a good me, but not the best."

The French striker scored the opener in the Gunners 2-1 win over Burnley on Saturday – his first goal of the season.

Partnered with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last season, Lacazette netted 13 goals, one less than the campaign before.

However, despite his free scoring form the former Lyon forward insisted the best is yet to come – with a place ahead of Anthony Martial and Olivier Giroud in the national team the target.

Lacazette told Canal Plus: “The Premier League has seen a very good Lacazette, but not yet the best Lacazette.

“I need to score more goals I know, I need to be more consistent and consistent throughout matches.

“I can do better – I am continuing to work, the national team coach makes his decisions. I am trying to put in the work. There you have it. I am still (motivated).”

Leading the line for the Gunners this season Lacazette and Aubameyang will be joined by record signing Nicolas Pepe.

Having arrived from Lille for £72million the right-winger is yet to make his full debut, despite coming on against Newcastle and Burnley.

Fellow new boy Dani Ceballos, on loan from Real Madrid, picked up the Man of The Match award on his debut on Saturday.
