ARSENAL continue their preparations for the huge visit to Liverpool this weekend.
The Gunners have made a promising start to this season with wins over Newcastle and Burnley and will expect to massively improve on their 5-1 hammering at Anfield last season.
Stick around for the latest Gunners news and gossip below…
ARSENAL made a bid for Rennes prodigy Eduardio Camavinga this summer.
L’Equipe claims Unai Emery tried taking the 16-year-old to the Emirates before his heroics in a famous 2-1 win over French champions PSG.
Spurs, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also said to have failed with offers.
UNAI EMERY has urged Mohamed Elneny and Shkodran Mustafi to leave Arsenal.
The pair are not in his plans for the upcoming season following the arrivals of Dani Ceballos and David Luiz.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s trip to Liverpool, Emery said: “We have some players, they know their situation.
“For example, Elneny and Mustafi know their position in the squad and really I want the players to be happy here, I want the players to be protagonists here.
“Last year with Mustafi and Mo, when they didn’t play they weren’t happy.
“I spoke with them a lot of times last year and this pre-season and I think it is positive for them to leave and sign for another team where they can be protagonists and be happy and continue their careers.”
JAMIE REDKNAPP has urged Liverpool to keep a close eye on Dani Ceballos this weekend.
The ex-Reds star told the Daily Mail: “What a performance from Dani Ceballos on his full Premier League debut.
“Arsenal must already tempted to ask Real Madrid how much it would cost to sign their loanee on a permanent deal.
“Jurgen Klopp will watch back Arsenal's win over Burnley and note they need to stop Ceballos at Anfield next week.
“That will be a great test of the 23-year-old's ability.”
ARSENAL expect defenders Kieran Tierney, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Hector Bellerin to return to training in October.
The trio are all missing for Saturday’s trip to Anfield.
But Emery should be able to call upon them in just over a month’s time.
Fans will be particularly excited to see Tierney in action after his late summer move from Celtic.
FORMER Gunner Charlie Nicholas has urged Unai Emery to leave Granit Xhaka out of his side to face Liverpool.
Arsenal travel to Anfield on Saturday looking to erase last season’s 5-1 defeat.
And Nicholas believes Emery should start by leaving Xhaka on the bench.
He told Sky Sports: “I’m dreading this game. How are they going to defend against Liverpool?
“David Luiz could make mistakes or he could have a man-of-the-match performance. Sokratis doesn’t offer enough and they are still vulnerable in the full-back areas.
“Arsenal should play with two protectors in front. I don’t want Xhaka in the team, I would prefer Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi. They would give Arsenal energy and defensive qualities.”
