    BEING FRANK

Frank Lampard kept tight-lipped when he was quizzed about Chelsea's transfers at today's press conference.

    He said: “Long-term is difficult.

    “There haven't been so many.

“If you have to look short term then it's something we will look at.”

    REELY GOOD NEWS

Reece James could feature for Chelsea against Arsenal tomorrow as his knee injury is not as bad as first feared.

The youngster was taken off injured in the Blues' 1-0 defeat at Newcastle on Saturday but Frank Lampard thinks he might still make the team for the Gunners' visit to Stamford Bridge.

Speaking ahead of the Premier League clash, Lampard confirmed James will be back in contention for Chelsea.

And if James does make the team, the back four will likely remain the same as the trip to St James' Park with Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta completing the four.

    LAMPARD WORRY

Frank Lampard has revealed right-back Reece James is a doubt to face Arsenal as he provided an update on hit fitness.

The Chelsea boss said: “He’s got an injury to the back of his knee area. It’s not as bad as it could have been or we maybe thought so he’s in contention for tomorrow but it’s going to be a tight call.

“We’ll give him another 24 hours to see if it settles down but it’s settled down pretty quickly so far.

“I was concerned because he had injuries at the start of the season with his ankle but when it wasn’t that I was quite happy. Hopefully he’ll be involved tomorrow, if not for the weekend.”
