And the Blues could be bolstered by the signings of full-backs Ben Chilwell and Elseid Hysaj.
But Callum Hudson-Odoi is becoming more of a hot property with each passing match, as Real Madrid join the hunt for the exciting England starlet.

REAL MADRID have joined the race to sign Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to reports.
The 19-year-old was linked with a move to Bayern Muncih prior to Frank Lampard succeeding Maurizio Sarri as Blues boss.
Hudson-Odoi then agreed a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
But Spanish publication El Desmarque claim that both Zinedine Zidane and Real president Florentino Perez are keeping tabs on the England star ahead of a summer swoop.
Hudson-Odoi is reportedly on a list of four young targets alongside Erling Braut Haaland, Everton striker Moise Kean and Villarreal forward Samu Chikwueze.
EDEN HAZARD has praised his former team-mate Frank Lampard's start at Chelsea.
The Real Madrid winger believes that the Blues boss can become one of the best managers in the world.
Asked whether he has been surprised by Lampard's immediate impact at Chelsea, Hazard said: “No, not at all.
“I know Frank as a player, not as a manger, but he’s a great guy. He’s showed already after four months that he can be one of the best managers in the world.
“The good thing is that they are playing with young players, young English players.
“For England it’s good, for Chelsea’s it’s good. They are lucky to have young players with quality.”
MATEO KOVACIC has stated he is trying to score more goals after Frank Lampard challenged him to open his account for the club.
The Croatian international has played 69 games for Chelsea, but is yet to find the back of the net.
Speaking to the club's website, he said: “The most important is the first one. One year at Inter I scored a lot of goals because I started the season scoring a lot of goals. Then you continue and it goes along.
“I never had the pressure to score goals, I was never obsessed because my game is not about goals, but obviously if I want to go to the next step I need to improve it.
“The coach was the greatest goalscoring midfielder that ever played. There were many, but he really scored a lot of goals. He tells me always that I need to shoot. Now I am trying more!
“It’s just a thing of mentality, to try to score, to be aggressive and to have the hunger to score goals. I want to improve that, I’m trying to improve that and I am sure I will get there.”
