TOTTENHAM produced the performance their home fans had been waiting for as a four-goal first half flurry saw off Crystal Palace.

Spurs' focus now switches to the Champions League, as they seek a result at Olympiakos on their quest to go one better than last season's final.

• PAUL MERSON has praised Tottenham star Harry Winks following the win over Palace.

  The former Arsenal star told Sky Sports: “Harry Winks is such a massive player for them, the way he gets the ball moving quickly.

  “They've got the movement of Son, Kane and Lamela.

  “They looked a proper team and as soon as the first whistle blew, they meant business.”

  He said: “The whole squad is excited to get started this season in the Champions League – it's the best competition in the world!

  “After Saturday's win over Crystal Palace, scoring four goals, we are all feeling very good and I think we are ready to have another great season in this competition.

  “Hopefully we can make the final again, but we need to work very hard to do that.”

• LUCAS MOURA has urged Tottenham to keep “calm and concentrate” in tomorrow's clash against Olympiacos.

  Reminiscing on his time with PSG in France, he said: “I remember the fans and the atmosphere at the stadium from my last game there – it's very lively.

  “Olympiacos are a very traditional team.

  “The fans sing for the entire 90 minutes so, for sure, they will push the team on.

  “We need to be ready for that pressure, be calm and concentrate on ourselves.”

• FERNANDO LLORENTE is gunning for revenge when Napoli take on Liverpool.

  The 34-year-old tasted defeat against Jurgen Klopp's side in the final of the competition last year.

  He said: “Last season's final was very painful for me.

  “I want revenge and I want Napoli to show that they're on par with a very good team like Liverpool.”
