DANIEL Dubois brushed aside Kyotaro Fujimoto in the second round to remain on course for future world title fights.

But the boxing world now looks ahead to Tyson Fury's rematch against Deontay Wilder, with the Gypsy King targeting a knockout win in February.

  • TYSON FURY could be as heavy as 19st for his rematch against Deontay Wilder, says his dad John.

The Gypsy King showed off his incredible weight loss when he hit the scales at 17st 5lbs for his last fight – a bloody points win against Otto Wallin.

But his dad, speaking ringside after his other son, Love Island star Tommy Fury, had won his first fight back since appearing on reality TV, said: “Well back in September in his last fight, we have seen what adjustments needed to be made and in a big way.

“But Tyson this time, don’t forget, he will be a different fighter. He will be weighing in heavier; closer to his weight.

“He’s six foot nine; he can carry close to 18st 10lbs, even 19 stone. But once he drops that seven or eight pounds the power seems to go with it.

“But up at 18st 12lbs, I had him on the pads last week and he was ripping my body in half.

“When Tyson went the first time [against Wilder], a welterweight could have hit harder and he couldn’t beat him then.

“But Tyson is working on technique now with Sugar Hill to knock this man out.”

  • FRANK WARREN has claimed that Tyson Fury has now beaten Anthony Joshua in terms of popularity – and will do the same to the heavyweight champ in the ring.

Promoter Warren feels his man is the people’s champion and will become the official one if the two Brits clash.

He said: “I said, as soon as Joshua got beat, that he would start doing all these media things but Tyson is a man of the people and you have to be with the public.

“Years ago a reporter would pick the phone up to a footballer and they would speak, now it all goes via an agent and you get a statement and that is happening with AJ.

“Tyson has not been like that, he mixes with people and is accessible.

“He was not loved at one point but he was up front with the mistakes that he made and the mental problems he had.

“He expressed that he was in a bad place and should never have been saying those things. He has since made GMTV his second home and he has been very conscious of remaining open to the fans.

“The British public love a comeback story, providing they come back more humble.

“Tyson was never big-headed, he was suffering from serious paranoia, because he was a Traveller and felt like an outsider.”

  • JOE JOYCE has laughed off claims he would be the underdog if he fought Daniel Dubois.

The Juggernaut was in the audience to watch Dubois secure a stunning second-round KO of Kyotaro Fujimoto on Saturday night.

Speaking afterwards, Joyce told World Boxing News:“I think it was a good performance from Daniel with a massive knockout but his opponent, however, was only trying to survive.

“It’s becoming standard procedure for Dubois. “I hear I’d be an underdog in this fight, but when it happens your all in for a shock of your lives!”

  • JOSH WARRINGTON could FINALLY get the unification fight he has been craving.

Frank Warren told talkSPORT that he is “working on it” to get a deal done for the IBF champ to fight WBO king Shakur Stevenson.

2019 saw the “Leeds Warrior” fight and beat Kid Galahad and Sofiane Takoucht.

He clearly needs a step up sooner rather than later.

  • TYSON FURY'S dad John has spoken out about his relationship with his son's now former trainer Ben Davison.

The Gypsy King shocked many when he split from his long-time friend earlier this month.

Speaking after watching his other son Tommy win at the weekend, John told Seconds Out: “I can't stand by going into the biggest fight of his life and not have the best people around him.

“I don't know what's happened, it was Ben's decision to leave.”
