ARSENAL held Man Utd to an unimpressive 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in a match which saw Nicolas Pepe heavily criticised for his display.

One night later, a former Gunners winger showed them what could have been by smashing four goals past Tottenham – Serge Gnabry for Bayern Munich.

  • ARSENAL fans can’t believe they spent £72million on Nicolas Pepe while selling Serge Gnabry for just £5m after the German ran riot against rivals Spurs on Tuesday night.

Gnabry scored FOUR times for Bayern Munich as the Bundesliga champions fired SEVEN goals past Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, club record signing Pepe was the worst player on the pitch as Arsenal drew 1-1 with Premier League strugglers Manchester United on Monday.

The Ivory Coast international cost a stunning £72m when he joined the Gunners from Lille over the summer.

While Gnabry was sold by Arsene Wenger to Werder Bremen for just £5m in 2016.

The winger, 24, is now one of the best in the business following a masterclass against Tottenham.

One wrote on Twitter: “I have not forgiven Wenger for selling Gnabry. That boy is something else.

“Why are we so unlucky with players? He’s honestly everything we want Pepe to be.”

Another said: “Arsenal once had Gnabry and let him go and now have Pepe. Such a massive step down.”

  • ARSENAL legend Ian Wright was not impressed with their display against Manchester United.

He said: “The disappointing thing from my side of it, when you look at chances created, Arsenal did do as much in the second half but I think his selection initially [was wrong].

“With [Granit] Xhaka being the captain it then takes it away from [Lucas] Torreira, because I think Torreira should start and he did. But I do believe [Dani] Ceballos should start.

“They could have the protection of Torreira and [Matteo] Guendouzi and a bit more creativity.

“Because when you see Aubameyang get one chance, he takes the chance.

“If you get a midfielder on it who is going to at least try to get the ball into areas where he can run on to it, if he gets another chance he may score another goal.

“I think the manager is just being a bit too cautious.”

  • FORMER Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry has just scored for Bayern Munich against Tottenham.

Gooners can revel in the news with Spurs currently losing 3-1 having taken the lead in their new home.

Oh and he's done it again, 4-1 now.

Why did Arsenal let him go?

  • RYAN GIGGS has heaped praise on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's clinical finish to rescue a point for Arsenal against Manchester United.

The Wales boss told Optus Sport: “It's a good pass from the young lad, Saka, right into his path and it's a fantastic finish with his left foot.

“A little dink, that's a goalscorer's finish. He doesn't panic, he's calm and it's against David de Gea who is one of the best shot-stoppers in the world. It was a brilliant finish.

“I've seen David in that position. If it goes low then he's got his feet closed and he's got that reaction and big reach where he does save it. But it's not easy to save that.”
