A mum-of-two was left red-faced when she tried to flirt with her "cute" landlord to get a cheaper rent and got shut down completely.
Penny McNatt, 25, came up with an idea to catch her landlord's attention – a faulty tap that needed an urgent fix – and started a conversation with him.
But it didn't go so well.
Sharing her "flirting fail" on TikTok, she shows the text messages, in which she asked her landlord: "Hey, my faucet in the kitchen is acting up again."
He quickly replied: "Okay, can you send me a picture of it… might need to be replaced."
Penny attached a lovely picture of herself pointing at the tap before the landlord asked for a "close-up" picture.
The singleton saw it as a chance to charm him with her beauty and sent him a zoomed-in selfie showing her face with a grinning look.
In return, she got a virtual slap on the face as the landlord wrote back: "Of the faucet, not you…"
Penny had no choice but to play it cool, saying: "Oh yeah, my bad."
Viewers were certain that her plan didn't succeed as some mentioned: "No free rent for you."
One said: "The rent after this attempt might sky rocket, I'd move out if I were you."
A second added: "This is funny. At least you tried, he could have been the love of your life."

"It never goes like the movies do," a third wrote.
Although Penny felt embarrassed after sending the picture, she said: "I tried, that's all that matters."
Some suggested Penny to make an excuse saying it was her cousin who grabbed her phone and sent the picture by mistake.
Others cheered her up and said she looked lovely in the picture.
