Carla Connor first arrived to live on the cobbles in 2006.
Since then her life has been marred with some very hard-hitting storylines, including a struggle with alcoholism, a mental breakdown and of course a horrible sexual assault.

Let’s take a look at soap star Alison King’s life aways from those ITV cameras…
Alison King’s family and relationship
Alison is loved up with her fiancé David Stuckley.
The pair were set to get married in a lavish ceremony back in May but had to cancel the wedding owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
Alison and David, who is nine years younger than her, have been dating since 2018 after being set up by their personal trainer.
David popped the question to Alison last year as they enjoyed their one year anniversary on a romantic trip to Portugal.
Alison introduced David to the world in September in an exclusive interview with OK! magazine after announcing their engagement.
She said: "It was just a few days after our one-year anniversary. I had an inkling he was going to pop the question because he kept putting something on my finger and going: 'Right, close your eyes and forget this ever happened!'

Alison has one daughter called Daisy, who she had with her ex Adam Huckett.
Alison King before Coronation Street
Alison wasn't always an actress; at the age of 18 she worked at Fat Willys Surf Shack in Newquay Cornwall, before training as a dental nurse for four years.
She enrolled in theatre school when she was 22.
She went on to appear in Brookside before getting the part on Corrie, and interestingly Carla Connor was not even her first role on the soap.
In 2004 she was cast as Mrs Fanshaw for one episode, but returned two years later to become Carla.
Alison King's best friend
Alison is best friends with fellow Coronation Street star Kym Marsh.
Kym Marsh
Their friendship is very strong, and after Kym lost her son Archie in 2009 after he was born 18 weeks premature Alison was very supportive of her friend.
Kym previously told OK! magazine: "Alison’s daughter Daisy shares the same birthday as Archie, Ali had just given birth when she heard I had lost Archie. So every year on Daisy’s birthday they always send me a photo of a candle they have lit for Archie.”
