Metal fans, it’s time to stretch out those head-banging necks — because Tool has returned with a 10-minute banger that is sure to give you whiplash.
Just last week, the cultishly popular experimental rock group Tool finally released their full catalog on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, TIDAL, Google Play and other streaming services.
Now, after a 13-year hiatus, the band has officially announced their long-awaited fifth album, “Fear Inoculum,” which has been teased for about five years now, with a new title track.
The eponymous first single is 10 minutes and 22 seconds of hypnotically rhythmic percussion, crunching guitar chords and reverb — all punctuated by original vocalist Maynard James Keenan’s disarmingly pleasant voice.
The “Fear Inoculum” album will be available in full come August 30. Fans can pre-order the album’s digital download for $11.99 on Apple Music.
