A woman joked she might have ordered the "world's most expensive Taco Bell order" when she found out one item being priced for $5,555.49 (£4,150).

Kenzie Rae, from US, went to a drive-thru restaurant on Friday (February 25) to order a burger and a quesadilla for herself.

But she was stunned when she drove to the check-out counter and realised how much it cost.

She showed the LED screen to TikTok users, noting: "Hold on, that's the most funniest thing I've ever seen. I think that would have to be the world's most expensive Taco Bell order.

"Yeah I'd like to not pay $5,000 for a chicken quesadilla."

The screen shows her order which includes a "Beefy five layer burger" for $2.49 (£1.86) and one chicken quesadilla for $5,555.49.

The bill totals $5,919.25 (£4422.18).

A staff member can be heard telling her through the microphone: "Just one second."

"Yeah you're good," Kenzie reassures the man.

Many viewers joked it could be a "reflection" on inflation and said the price is "getting out of hand".

One wrote: "Hopefully they are making the tortilla from scratch, and making the chicken fresh with seasoning and everything."

"Must be a gold leaf infused quesadilla!" a second said and a third added: "Inflation hitting hard in 2022."

Others pointed out that it's clearly a glitch in the system and there's nothing to worry.

"Why so shocked? Just cancel the item and adding it back in again, I'm sure it's not going to show $5,555 again," one commented.

"Nice try Taco Bell," another added.

The meat-filled tortilla is listed on the US restaurants as $4.19 and Kenzie's meal should come up as roughly $7 (£5.22).
