The biggest story to break this week from the Bravo world was the arrest and indictment of Jen Shah from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. All of the fans mobilized to see what was going on in real time and even housewives from other franchises were attentive to all the updates. Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills got invested into the drama around the detainment just like any other fan.
What did Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp say about the Jen Shah situation?
The Real Housewives world was shaken when news broke that Shah had been arrested for a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme. Blogs dedicated to reporting on everything Bravo were on overdrive on Tuesday, March 30 with the latest tea on the events. Queens of Bravo is a popular account on Instagram with close to 40 thousand follows which includes RHOBH star Richards.
When the blog posted a picture of Shah leaving the courthouse, one of the reporters in the picture looked oddly familiar. Richards pointed out that the woman looked like her friend Mellencamp.
“Is that you Teddi Mellencamp with the [microphone]?” Richards replied to the post mentioning her former co-star.
The fitness enthusiast replied shortly after saying, “I truly wish it was. Maybe I can report from the trial.”
Richards then added, “The way we have been reporting back and forth today, I am thinking maybe we should just head over there.”
“I just booked tickets,” Mellencamp joked. “Pack your bags, we are headed to SLC.”
The exchange between the two stars was practically the same scenario among all of the RHOSLC and Bravo fans.

Why is Jen Shah facing legal problems?
Shah is in serious trouble after being charged with allegedly profiting from generating lists of victims to defraud them. The Bravo star is being accused along with her assistant Stuart Smith.
“Jennifer Shah, who portrays herself as a wealthy and successful businessperson on ‘reality’ television, and Stuart Smith, who is portrayed as Shah’s ‘first assistant,’ allegedly generated and sold ‘lead lists’ of innocent individuals for other members of their scheme to repeatedly scam,” Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a statement. “In actual reality and as alleged, the so-called business opportunities pushed on the victims by Shah, Smith, and their co-conspirators were just fraudulent schemes, motivated by greed, to steal victims’ money. Now, these defendants face time in prison for their alleged crimes.”
In another part of the press release, the Department of Justice summarizes how long they could potentially serve in prison if found guilty of the charges.
Both Shah and Smith “are each charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing through which they victimized 10 or more persons over the age of 55, which carries a maximum sentence of 30 years, and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years. The maximum potential sentences, in this case, are prescribed by Congress and are provided here for informational purposes only, as any sentencing of the defendants will be determined by the judge.”
Bravo has not released a statement about what is going to happen to the upcoming season of RHOSLC.
