As they continue to make huge waves in the world of football, England's Lionesses enjoyed a well-deserved break on Thursday, 10 August, ahead of their of their quarter-final World Cup clash with Colombia.

With the big match set to take place on Saturday, the football team quickly returned to training the following day to get in as much extra practise as possible.

During their day of relaxation, the stars took to Instagram to share their plans. Ella Toone started off as she shared an adorable picture as she reunited with her family, and later joined in some fun with I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here winner Jill Scott, who retired last year.

Ella was then pictured playing a friendly game of large Jenga with presenters Jill and Kyle Walker.

Bethany England also enjoyed quality time with her mum Lisa and twin Laura, with Millie Bright and Rachel Daly hit the beach with family.

Ellie Roebank then shared a post as she snuggled up with her family, captioning it: "Fam made it just in time for that one. Love this time."

Meanwhile, teammates Alex Greenwood, Georgia Stanway and Jess Carter were spotted out and about enjoying the sights.

Lauren James was also spotted having some down time with Jill Scott as they headed out on a casual walk together.

Rested and recharged, it appears the girls are ready for action and to take charge during the match with Colombia in the World Cup quarter-final.

This relaxing day could be giving the team some time to reflect on their performance on the pitch, as it follows Lauren James's red card against Nigeria at the World Cup on Monday.

The decision means they'll be without one of the finest talents for the upcoming game and, if further rules materialise from FIFA's disciplinary committee, Lauren's ban could extend to three games, which would render her ineligible for the remainder of the tournament.

Her team-mate Lucy Bronze said of Lauren: "Obviously she’s going to be disappointed in herself. I went straight off the pitch after the game to make sure she was OK.

"Obviously she was a little bit upset and rightfully so and more than anything she just feels bad for the team. I said to her, 'We’ve made it through. It’s a team, it’s not just one player.'"
