Queen Letizia of Spain looked chic in a powder blue skirt and white blouse as she stepped out for an engagement in Madrid today.
The Spanish royal, 50, was on hand to attend the closing ceremony of the XIV Call for Social Projects ‘Euros de tu Nómina’, an initiative by Santander to promote projects that improve society.
It comes after an intense week for the mother-of-two, who jetted off to London for the Queen’s funeral then headed to New York.

The Spanish Queen arrived at the event in Madrid wearing a navy blazer elegantly hung over shoulders. She also wore her favourite sky blue Hugo Boss pencil skirt
For the event today the stylish mother-of-two wore a sleeveless high neck white shirt paired with her Hugo Boss sky blue pencil midi skirt with and inbuilt belt, which she has worn before.
Letizia opted for navy sling backs and kept her brown hair loose, tucked behind her ears.

Her face, still tanned from summer, was glowing as she donned a glossy pink lip-gloss and subtly smokey eyes.
This year marks the 14th edition of ‘Euros en tu Nomina,’ in which the 12 winning social projects will receive a contribution to be able to develop their project.

Last week Queen Letizia joined US first lady Jill Biden, 71, in New York where they visited Columbia University’s new Irving Medical Centre, before they addressed the room ahead of World Cancer Research Day.
Two days prior to her trip the the Big Apple, Letizia had been in London attending the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

She and Jill toured Columbia’s University newly opened Irving Medical Centre, where Letizia, who is Honorary President of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, addressed the room to discuss the fight against cancer, ahead of World Cancer Research Day, which falls this Saturday.
The First lady also delivered a speech during the visit, and seemed delighted to be accompanied by the Spanish Queen.
Letizia was forced to leave the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II early due to scheduling conflicts.
The mother-of-two, 50, did not attend Her Majesty’s Committal Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor – leaving her husband King Felipe, 54, to attend with his 83-year-old mother Queen Sofia.
