A policeman was hit by a car after a police chase in Tottenham this morning.
The Met say the suspect vehicle was stopped by police in north London at 11.32am but it then 'drove off at speed striking an officer'.
An air ambulance was called and the officer – a firearms specialist – has been rushed to hospital.
Photos of the scene show several police cars and an ambulance with the road cordoned off.
The attack happened not far from Tottenham Hotspur's football ground, and very close to White Hart Lane station.

The officer is not in a life-threatening condition.
No arrests have been made, Scotland Yard said in a statement.
The statement added: "Enquiries are underway to locate the suspects and the vehicle."
No description has been released of the suspect vehicle.
Buses have been rerouted and roads shut down after emergency services were scrambled to the area.
TfL Bus Alerts tweeted: "WHITE HART LANE: Route W3 diverted in both directions via Fore Street, North Circular Road, Great Cambridge Roundabout and Great Cambridge Road due to a police incident."
It comes just over two months after PC Andrew Harper was hit and killed while on duty.
The 28-year-old officer died after he was dragged along a road by a vehicle in Sulhamstead, Berkshire on August 15.
