“I feel she is partly a victim of the system — Even her testimony proves there was no rape.”

Pamela Anderson is resolutely standing by her friend Julian Assange once again.

The actress lashed out at Swedish prosecutors on Monday after the rape investigation against the Wikileaks founder was re-opened.

"The Swedish prosecutor authority keeps closing and reopening, closing and reopening the investigation and it is full of irregularities as stated by The UN," she wrote. "Julian is an Aussie bloke who took on governments — And who wins this fight will depend on you."

She also reminded her 1million followers of the quote by Malcolm X: "The media is the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the masses."

Assange was accused in 2010 by two Swedish women of sexual assault. He surrendered to UK police but skipped bail and fled to the Ecuadorian embassy in London, fearing he would be ultimately extradited to the US where he was also wanted for leaking classified military information.

He remained holed up in the embassy for seven years, and Sweden dropped the investigation in 2017, but retained the right to re-open it before the statute of limitation expired in August 2020… which is exactly what it did after Assange was dragged out of the embassy last month.

Pamela, however, insisted critics — particularly feminists — are not seeing the full picture.

Assange — who has not been charged, and is merely wanted as part of the investigation — denies the accusations, insisting all sex was consensual. His accusers do not claim there was no consent — rather he violated the scope of their consent by, for example, not using a condom.

Indeed Assange’s legal team have argued the ‘rape’ accusation is actually a case of mis-translation from Swedish, and that what he is accused of does not amount to the European definition of rape — which the "Baywatch" star tried to point out on Monday.

"I feel she is partly a victim of the system," Anderson said of the accuser. "Even her testimony proves there was no rape."

"The Swedish approach that it is a suspicion of ‘rape minor’ An insult to all real rape victims in the world, not helping the fight against sex crimes," she added. "I wish feminists could see that."

Pamela also shared Assange’s testimony, in which he details his version of events: How they had consensual sex, how she demanded afterward he get checked for STDs, and his shock at finding he was being "hunted" for rape the following day.

Earlier on Monday, Sweden’s deputy director of public prosecutions Eva-Marie Persson, announced at a news conference the case was being re-opened because there was still "probable cause to suspect" that Assange had committed the alleged sexual assault.

"Now that he has left Ecuador’s embassy, the conditions in the case have changed and… the conditions are in place once again to pursue the case," she said, adding that a European arrest warrant would now be issued.

Assange is currently in a London prison, having been sentenced to 50 weeks for breaching bail. It remains unclear if he will be extradited to Sweden or the US upon his release.
