WhenMolly-Mae Haguefirst launched her beauty brand,Filter, back in 2019, its main product was a skin-blurring fake tan that aimed to create a real-life filter effect on your skin.
However, in the last four years the former Love Island star has expanded Filter’s beauty range to offer a whole host of bath and beauty products, and one of her latest launches apparently took more than two years to perfect.
Molly-Mae took toher Instagramover the weekend to share some behind the scenes secrets about the creation of her Filter by Molly-Mae Body Polish, £25 here, and the Body Crème, £25 here.
Posting a snap of the new Body Polish on her Instagram stories, Molly-Mae said: “Our Crème and Polish has officially launched. We’ve been working on these formulas for two years!
“You guys know how much I adore self care and bath related products… I’ve been testing samples upon samples to find the ultimate duo for your bath/shower routine. I am literally so proud of what we’ve created!”
The Body Crème And Polish Bundle, £45 here, were designed to be used alongside Filter’s self tan products to make it last longer and ensure you get a streak-free application, as well as leaving your skin feeling silky smooth.
The Body Polish, £25 here, is made from an oil-based sugar and apricot kernel formula that gives your skin a high level of exfoliation, while shea butter helps to minimise your skin’s irritation and leave it soft and hydrated.
Meanwhile, the Body Crème, £25 here, helps prevent breakouts and maintains the health of your skin cells, while giving it a hefty dose of moisture to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, leaving your skin soft and smooth without feeling greasy.
Molly-Mae also showed fans a look at the creation process, sharing a photo from 2021 when she first started developing the products, showing an empty jar and writing: “When you have packaging signed off two years ago and you think the launch is just around the corner!”
“I never had any idea when I started Filter by Molly-Mae how long products take to make and develop! It’s such a journey but really makes it so incredibly worth it when they’re finished and perfected.”
You can now (finally!) get the Body Crème And Polish Bundle, £45 here, over atFilter by Molly-Mae, but it’s not the only luxe bath product the former Love Island star has been raving about recently.
