An Instagram influencer has alleged that a photographer she has known for years used a camera disguised as a cellphone charger to film her and other women when they were getting changed and going to the bathroom.

Zoë Klopfer, a 25-year-old fitness model based in southern California, took to Instagram on Wednesday to accuse photographer and videographer William Francis of Drone Tech Films of setting up a camera in her bathroom.

After discovering the device and putting the memory card on her computer, the social media star said she found more than 200 files containing videos of various women who were filmed without their knowledge, including herself.

Serious: Zoë Klopfer, 25, has accused photographer and videographer William Francis of Drone Tech Films of secretly filming her nude and using the bathroom using a hidden camera

Emotional: The fitness model was in tears as she recounted the discovery in a video she shared on her YouTube channel on Wednesday

She said she was inspired to come forward with her story after Los Angeles-based model Sunnaya Nash publicly accused photographer Marcus Hyde of trying to bribe her into sending him nude pictures in exchange for a free photoshoot.

Nash’s Instagram post prompted other models to share similar accusations against Hyde, who has worked with Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande.

Allegation: Klopfer alleges Francis (pictured) put a hidden camera disguised as a cellphone charger in her bathroom

Klopfer shared a video of Francis allegedly setting the camera in her bathroom as well as a portion of the footage that he had secretly filmed of her using the device.

‘This is honestly the last thing I ever thought I would be having to talk about,’ she captioned the videos. ‘But after hearing @sunnnaya be brave enough to come forward with her story, she gave me the courage to open up about my horrific situation that’s still currently going on.

‘I wanted to bring to light what has happened to me recently to help other women avoid being filmed naked by some scumbag.⁣’

She said the videographer and photographer was someone she ‘once trusted,’ noting that he ‘needs to be stopped.’

‘He placed a HIDDEN CAMERA disguised as an iPhone charger inside my bathroom & it filmed me nude without my knowledge,’ she explained. ‘There were 271 files on the memory card in the device with myself and other naked women who did not know as well.

‘I want to share this information to help protect other women since he continually shoots and works with high profile models and celebrities and families everyday [sic] worldwide. ⁣⁣He’s currently practicing in OC, LA, and Miami,’ she added.

‘Please keep yourself safe when you shoot & always look out for hidden cameras. I noticed the camera because it was blinking red and iPhone Chargers DO NOT BLINK RED. Help spread awareness & #SHARE to help stop this guy!’

Klopfer later filmed a YouTube video in which she gives a more detailed account of what happened.

In the clip, she explains that she discovered the hidden camera last month and reported it to the Newport Beach Police Department but was told it could take months or even years before any actions were taken against him.

Making her case: Klopfer said she started filming herself right after she found the camera last month, so she would have evidence against him

Shocked: The influencer said she put the memory card on her computer and found more than 200 files containing videos of various women who were filmed without their knowledge

She says she was motivated to share her story because of the other models who have recently come forward with similar accounts.

‘I don’t want any other women to shoot with this photographer that I shot with,’ she says.

Klopfer stresses that she had known Francis for years. Not only did she trust him, but she says she also considered him to be a friend.

She explains that he knew she was moving to Orange County, and last month, he suggested that she move in with him and become his roommate.

‘I thought this would be a great opportunity, that I would have him to help me make my content,’ she says. ‘It was somebody I trusted who I have known for about four years now.’

Her proof: Klopfer said she also found footage of Francis setting up the device in her bathroom

Just the beginning: The fitness model posted a portion of the video Francis has allegedly filmed of her

Horrifying discovery: Klopfer explained that she only shared the beginning because she is nude in the video

Klopfer says they both had their own private bedrooms and bathroom, but 19 days after she moved in, he told her he was going to change the light bulbs in her bathroom.

He was in her bathroom when she left for a meeting, and when she came back a couple of hours later, she noticed there was a phone charger that was plugged in by her sink and pointed directly at the toilet.

‘It didn’t look like a normal phone charger because it was blinking [red],’ she recalls. ‘I just instantly got a sick feeling in my stomach.’

‘I pulled it out of the wall and sure enough, on the back of it, there was a compartment that slid off,’ she says. ‘I slid it off and my fears were confirmed because there was a memory card inside.’

Klopfler says Francis was in the apartment, so she hid the camera in her pocket and went into her bedroom where she plugged the memory card into her computer to see what was on it.

Scary: Klopfer said she has known Francis for years and had recently moved into his apartment where she had her own private bedroom and bathroom

Betrayal: She said she couldn’t believe that someone she had considered a friend would do something ‘so vile’ to her

‘My worst nightmare was confirmed, and I was, in fact, recorded nude inside the bathroom when I was in there,’ she recalls.

According to her YouTube video, she found 241 files on the memory card, though in her Instagram post, she says there were 271.

She says the clips feature different women and different bathrooms, leading her to believe ‘he takes this device wherever he goes.’

‘I honestly was in shock as soon as it happened because I couldn’t just comprehend that somebody who I trusted and somebody who I thought was my friend and was looking out for me would do something so vile to me,’ she explains.

Klopfler says she didn’t confront him because she was alone at the time. Instead, she packed her backpack and left immediately.

Speaking out: Klopfer, who has more than 187,000 Instagram followers, has been using her platform to warn other women about Francis while she builds a case against him

Coming forward: The fitness model also posted messages she got from other women who claim Francis has also harassed them

She started filming evidence right away and brought the device to the Newport Beach Police to file a report on the night she found it.

The model says it was ‘mortifying’ to have to watch naked videos of herself with the police while presenting her evidence against Francis.

After doing some research, she learned that hidden cameras can be disguised as normal household items like clocks. She was so freaked out that he was filming her in other areas of their apartment, she moved out.

Klopfler says she has no idea if he made copies of the video, and she wants other women who have worked with him to contact her to see if he had secretly filmed them.

As she works to build a case against the photographer, she alleges that Francis’s lawyer has threatened her.

Some women sent Klopfer screengrabs of the alleged conversations they had with Frances on Instagram

Protecting others: ‘I don’t want any other women to shoot with this photographer that I shot with,’ Klopfer said

‘It’s just so hard to feel safe as a woman in 2019, especially with these photographs and paleographers,’ she says. ‘There are so many of them that have ill intentions.’

In addition to her posts, Klopfler has been taking to Instagram Stories to share screengrabs of conversations she has had with other women who allege Francis has harassed them as well.

‘All of this is so sickening, I’m so sorry,’ one woman wrote. ‘When I broke up with him, he was threatening me and my clients, trying to get me to lose my job and business, and saying he was going to put my nudes on the internet and he said he would stop if I would just have sex with him one more time.

‘He truly is a disturbed human being.’

Since Klopfer has shared her story, it appears the photographer has shut down numerous Instagram accounts as well as his company’s website.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Francis for comment.
