Emmerdale fans were left stunned this week after Nicky's true identity was finally revealed, with viewers having questioned the character's intentions since he arrived in December.
Newcomer Nicky is played by actor Lewis Cope from Hartlepool, who has made some earlier TV appearances including in Doctors and ITV's Vera.
Making his debut in the Dales in December, his mysterious character Nicky left viewers of the ITV soap questioning his intentions with some suggesting he could have a secret identity and others saying he was "too good to be true".
He took a keen interest in Gabby Thomas and, months later after securing the job of looking after her son Thomas, started a secret romance with her.
The pair came clean about their relationship, much to Kim Tate's disapproval, and in a bid to prove her wrong Nicky declared he was in love with Gabby and popped the question.
But in a surprising plot twist, his true intentions were revealed and viewers discovered that he was actually the son of Caleb Milligan and Frank Tate was in fact Caleb's dad.
While the explosive storyline unfolds, we take a closer look at Lewis's life off screen with his stunning girlfriend – away from his mysterious Nicky character.
Stunning actress girlfriend
Lewis is in a relationship with girlfriend Rachel Lopez, who he has been with for around six years. The pair are often seen posting glamorous and loved up snaps together on Instagram.
As the ultimate power couple, Rachel, who is from Ireland, is also in the acting world as well as being a professional Pilates instructor.
Gushing in a post in December Lewis wrote alongside a photo of them: “6 years of Dublin at Christmas with you. Wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Lewis and his girlfriend can be seen enjoying a number of getaways together with Greece being a particular favourite for the two.
Sharing snaps on Instagram, the pair show that they return year after year to the Greek islands of Mykonos and Naxos.
In one photo the pair who are both wearing white outfits take a candid photo as they look out to the sunset in Mykonos with Lewis writing the caption "Thank you for being you".
Rachel gushed on the sweet photo and wrote: "Thank YOU for being you bloody love the heart in you xxxxx".
There are also holiday snaps together as they visited Paris, including Disneyland, Budapest as well as London, the Lake District and the Cotswolds – a little closer to home.
At the start of the year, the actor posted a photo of himself on a bike at the posh Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds he added the caption "Wishing you all an amazing 2023".
If he isn't jetting off around the globe, Lewis can be spotted enjoying the luxury in life including sipping Champagne or enjoying a drink at Madison’s rooftop bar in London which overlooks St Paul’s Cathedral.
Other high profile spots the actor seems to enjoy include the Soho House members clubs and celeb favourite restaurant, Sushisamba.
He has shared a number of topless photos showing off his toned physique as he poses on the beach.
Last summer, while in Greece, he shared a snap as he soaked up the sun and wrote the caption: "I hope this summer never end".
