Jennifer Lopez just got a full fringe for summer, so now we're all about to get full fringes for summer.
The 53 year old is known for her ultra-lengthy, caramel-coloured locks – often styled into bombshell waves – and now she's giving that trademark look a bit of a new-season update thanks to the fringe. Not perfectly practical for the heatwave we're having, but maybe it's cooler over in L.A.
Posting the transformation to her Instagram grid, JLo captions the selfie: "Bang bang #ThisIsMeNow @jlobeauty @hairbylorenzomartin"
The mum-of-two looks gorgeous as she poses for the snap with her banging new hair addition. Her make-up also looks incredible with plenty of dewy, rosy emphasis on her lips and cheeks. In fact, JLo looks so youthful in the snap, we'd say she's barely aged a day since she last wore her hair in a fringe style like this one.
When was that, you wonder? In 2009 when the star was filming the movie The Back-up Plan. Back then she also had a thick fringe, dark bronde tresses and plenty of volume-boosting layers.
Fans are loving the nostalgic hairstyle JLo is serving, with plenty taking to the post's comment section to dish out praise on her youthful looks and her updated hair.
"BANG BANG," says one, while a second writes: "J-to the LO Nostalgia".
A third adds: "Looks like her hair from the 'ain’t it funny' video," with a fourth saying "Get ready for me to be asking for bangs".
JLo seems to make a habit of transforming her hair shortly before or shortly into the first month of summer. Last June, the Marry Me actress shared a series of photos of her beauty look to her Instagram feed – and one that kind of made her look like she was cast in the original Charlie’s Angels movie.
In the snaps JLo’s lengthy layered hair had been blow dried super sleek with a touch of volume throughout the long layers and, paired with her aviator sunglasses, the look gave us serious seventies screen star vibes. All that was missing was the era’s swooping curtain fringe.
Well, a year later and she's completed the final phase of her 70s makeover with the fringe.
Well worth the wait, we say!
