ASDA's website and app aren't letting customers log in, leaving shoppers without access to their accounts.

Shoppers are reporting trouble logging in to make or check their orders on Asda's website and app.

The number of reported outages for the app and website is currently at more than 600, according to Downdetector.

Around 27% of problems are about the app and 33% are about the website.

Many shoppers rely on their app to get discounts on products in-store, rather than carrying a physical card.

This means that some shoppers could be left paying more at the checkout.

How to check if the Asda app and website are not working

The best way to see if there are issues with Asda's website or app is to check directly.

You'll know if there's an issue if you can't log in to your online account.

You can also check if Asda is down for everyone or experiencing wider issues on Downdetector.

The website lets users report issues and you can see if the issue is widespread in terms of location.

Can you claim compensation for outages?

There's no fixed compensation scheme for supermarket website outages like there is for other industries such as telecoms.

But if being unable to access your account has left you out of pocket for any reason, it's worth contacting Asda.

You should gather evidence, for example, a delivery receipt, and get in touch with Asda's customer service team.

For online grocery order issues, you can ring 0800 9520 395 which is free to call from landlines and mobiles.
