Christmas is coming and all of our favourite festive movies are back on TV, including Home Alone.
The iconic Christmas movie has had a reboot this year and while Macaulay Culkin has steered clear of the big screen, the film suggests Kevin is doing just fine.
Home Sweet Home Alone – now on Disney Plus – stars Ellie Kemper and Devin Ratray, Kevin’s mean big brother Buzz in the original 1990 blockbuster.
According to Newsweek, the film features McCallister Security – a new alarm system being installed at the family home.
We’ll hedge our bets on Kevin being behind the business. He did conquer the Wet Bandits afterall, but silly booby traps are clearly behind him.

The new movie follows a kid called Max Mercer (played by Archie Yates) who – you guessed it – gets left behind at home when his family fly to Japan for their holiday.
While Wet Bandits Marv and Harry are (we hope) in jail, there’s an unhinged couple on the loose who try and steal back a valuable heirloom from the savvy pre-teen.
Of course, they don’t stand a chance.
According to critics, the movie’s not a scratch on the original. But there’s plenty of silly pranks, one-liners and feel-good fun!
Remember Buzz? He’s still in town but, believe it or not, he’s a police officer!
The grown up has put his bad ways behind him to protect the community and, during one scene, reveals his baby brother is still as cheeky as ever.
He says that his little sibling calls in a ‘home alone’ prank into the police each year!
Actor Devin Ratray is the only original cast member to make an appearance in the new instalment, but they’re all doing great things.
Catherine O’Hara, who played hysterical mum Kate, won a Primetime Emmy award for her role as Moira Rose in hit TV series Schitt’s Creek.
Meanwhile Macaulay’s little brother Kieran (who played cousin Fuller in the original movie), scored a leading role in HBO series Succession.
Superstar Macaulay welcomed his first child with actress Brenda Song this year. The pair named their baby boy Dakota in honour of Culkin’s sister who died in 2008.
After the birth, they released a statement to Esquire, saying: “We’re overjoyed.”
Brenda told Esquire last year: “You can’t be around him [Macaulay] and not be happy.”
