Halle Berry has come out on the winning side of a decade-long child support battle with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.

In 2014, a judge determined that the actress must pay her ex $16,000 in child support for their daughter, Nahla, now 15. However, Halle went on to challenge the ruling.

She had a small victory in 2021, when the court agreed to reduce her child support payments by half, so she’d only have to pay Gabriel $8,000 a month. However, Halle was also ordered to give him 4.3% of any annual income she made that exceeded $1.96 million.

Now, the court has agreed to put a maximum on that amount, as the cut off is $4.5 million on additional annual child support. “Halle shall continue to pay Gabriel 4.3% of any income she receives above $1.95 million, as and for additional child support for Nahla,” court documents obtained by Daily Mail reveal.

“However, any additional payments of child support pursuant to this Paragraph shall not exceed $109,650 per year, which is the difference between 4.3% of $1.95 million and $4.5 million,” the documents continue.

“The parties agree that additional child support over and above $109,650 per year would exceed Nahla’s reasonable needs,” it adds. Halle must pay child support to Gabriel until their daughter graduates high school or turns 19, whichever comes first.

Known for movies like Monster Ball, Halle Berry has a reported net worth of $90 million, which is significantly higher than her ex. Gabriel, a Canadian model, is reportedly worth $4.7 million.

Halle and Gabriel began dating in 2005, shortly after finalized her divorce from Eric Benet. They never married and separated in 2010.

Gabriel had positive things to say about Halle following their split. “She is, and will forever be, one of the most special and beautiful people that I have ever known, and I am certain that we will continue to have only love and respect for one another,” the model once said.

However, it wasn’t long before the exes began arguing over custody issues, which has included a slew of allegations over the years. Halle has accused Gabriel of having a history of mental illness, including incestuous behavior. She’s also accused him of racism during their court disagreements.

Hopefully the latest update in their child support controversy will signify the end of the years-long court battle.
