A teenager was killed in a car crash just two years after her mum died has been named as Roisin Hession.
The 16-year-old lost her life when the vehicle she was travelling in smashed into a wall in County Galway, Ireland at around 1.15am this morning.
Roison, who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene, The Irish Mirror reported .
The 21-year-old driver of the vehicle, who has not been named, was taken to University Hospital Galway by ambulance with serious injuries.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Roisin’s death is the second tragedy to hit her immediate family in recent years.
According to local Fine Gael councillor, Peter Roche, her mum died a couple of years ago.

“The father is originally from Tuam, but they recently moved to the village of Cahergal, around 5 or 6 miles out from Tuam," he said.
"It must be the most awful thing for that man to lose his child.”
He added: “It’s a pure tragedy.
“Tomorrow brings a new challenge for the teachers to tell her friends and colleagues. They were preparing for their school exams, they’re preparing for a funeral now.”
Friends flocked to social media to pay their respects to the teenager.
Emma Mullins wrote: "Rip roisin … still can’t believe the news … you’ll be missed so much by all your friends at least you are with you mom now.

Nicole Niedzwiedz added: "Rip Roisin Hession.
'You were a star girl. Gone at such young age. Rest in peace."
Local Fianna Fáil councillor Colm Keaveney said Roisin had a keen interest in cars.
He added: “It’s just a tragic set of events. She was very popular among her friends and comes from a loving, well respected family. There’s a lot of upset in the community. The father is a brilliant, well respected man.”
A Garda spokeswoman said: “Gardaí are appealing to any road users who may have travelled the road and can assist them or drivers who may have dash cam to contact them in Salthill Garda Station on 091 – 514720, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”
