A man reportedly had to give up his brand new PS5 after his wife found out about it.
According to a viral tale, he’d told his other half he’d ordered an air purifier.
But when his missus uncovered the truth, she apparently told him to sell the highly sought-after console online.
The PS5 was snapped up by a man called Jin Wu, who shared the story on Facebook.
He told followers: "When the seller arrived, it turned out to be a middle-aged man.
“You could tell that he definitely played video games, just with a single look."
He asked the seller: “Oh, you’re really quick at reserving the console.
“Did you manage to reserve two consoles? If not, why are you selling this?”
Apparently, the crestfallen bloke replied: "It's my wife who wants to sell it…"
The Facebook user replied: "I went silent after seeing the look in his eyes. I could feel his pain.
"Seems like women can still tell the difference between a PS5 console and an air purifier."
The post has received a lot of attention since it was posted online.
Many have sympathised with the PS5 seller – but others have questioned whether the tale is real or not.
Some say the story is pretty similar to a South Korean cartoon by YouTuber Jangbbijju.
In his video, a husband tries to convince his partner that a games console is a router called “Plash Speed”.
Real or not, there’s a moral we can take from the viral story.
Let your partner buy a PS5 if they want one!
