Former TOWIE star Frankie Essex gave birth to her twins, whom she shares with boyfriend Luke Love, last May and has since shared updates while settling into life with babies Logan and Luella.

In her exclusive column for OK! , Frankie has discussed a range of topics related to motherhood – from her first social outing with the twins and a blackout at her home when they were just a few days old, to “feeling more human again” as the babies dropped their dreaded 2am feed.

This week, Frankie talks about how the twins are becoming jealous of one another, how Logan and has taken his first steps, and how she's hoping to soon take them to the beach for the first time.

The weather was beautiful for once

The bank holiday was lovely, the wedding was beautiful for once. We got invited to a little baby's birthday party which was at a farm so they got to see some animals and there was a ball pit which is the twin's favourite thing. They got one for their birthday too and are just loving life.

The party had people dressed as the characters Spiderman and CocoCocomelon there and they played musical statues, which was just a never-ending game.

Then on Sunday, we went over to Greenwich Park, which me and Luke used to do when we were kids and while there we went to see Luke's foster parents too.

Logan took his first steps

It was so unexpected, me and Luke were sitting on the floor and he just took his first steps. Everyone's like 'did you record it?' and we didn't but we've recorded some after that. But yes, he took his first steps. Me and Luke both had tears in our eyes.

It was so lovely, and Luke had tears in his eyes and that's only the second time I've seen that since we've been together so it must have been a lovely moment for him as well. It was just so amazing.

Luella's been getting jealous of Logan

Luella gets jealous when we pay attention to Logan's walking, she knows that something's going on and she cries so we have to deal with her as well.

She gets so jealous, even if I just pick him up she cries. She's so funny though, she's a proper little sassy pants.

We've booked the twin's first holiday

It isn't till August and we're going to Lisbon, our friend's getting married over there. There's going to be a few babies there, which is really nice because we wouldn't have gone if they weren't invited, it's too soon to leave them for five days.

The hotel looks lovely and it's properly family-friendly. And the couple will have people there on the wedding day, which is really nice.

The hotel sets the room up for children and even has a little teepee which is so great.

We're taking to the twins to their first beach this summer

I said that when we start getting nice weather and when everyone's back at school we should try and get down to the beach with the babies. Obviously, in the summer holidays, all the beaches are just carnage.

Hopefully, the weather will stay nice and we can go next week or the week after. If we get a nice day I'm going to pack up the car and head to the beach I think. I haven't been to a beach in the UK in years though.

Luella hates being on grass

We tried putting her on the grass on Saturday but she really wasn't fond of it. I really think she needs to start walking then because she definitely doesn't like crawling on the grass. Logan at first was a bit unsure about it as well but after that, he was fine and even tried eating it.

He's a very typical boy, loves a wheel or a car, he just loves wheels. Luella is a bit more dainty and prefers building blocks.

I went to the oldest strip club in London

It was for a friend's 30th birthday and it's not really a strip club anymore, it was more like dinner and a show. And they had some burlesque and a drag act. It was actually unreal and just fantastic.

My friend had a lovely time. We all sat down and had cocktails and one of mine came in a perfume bottle. It was just really fancy. It's called The Windmill and was apparently the oldest strip club in London and now it's been turned into something else.
