Over here at OK! HQ we love a risqué trend. Don't worry, not to try out ourselves, but we love seeing which brave celebs will tackle a new trend that isn't for the faint hearted.
Last season it was all about the underboob, with brave celebrities and influencers showing no qualms in flashing their underboobs in specifically designed tops and dresses which skimmed over their bust area.
This year we have moved on, with the fashion world over cheeky boob flashing and focusing it's attention on legs – welcome the micro skirt.
Don't be mistaken here, the micro is very different to the mini skirt, which is deemed appropriate to wear in most occasions. The micro skirt means bum flashing, thigh skimming, tummy flaunting…the lot! Some would argue it's basically a belt…
The micro skirt first came onto our radar in October last year at the spring summer 2022 Miu Miu fashion show in Paris, for Paris Fashion Week.
The designer for the iconic brand, Miuccia Prada, sent not one, not two, but ten different models down the runway in different variations of the micro skirt, all looking absolutely sensational in the design.
Fast forward four months, and the trickle effect has started to come through thick and fast. We've been seeing this micro skirt pop up everywhere from the red carpet to magazine front covers, and obviously all over Instagram.
Model and influencer took to the Brit Awards 2022 red carpet in the Miu Miu skirt, looking absolutely flawless as she dared to bare her midriff and winning pins in the barely there ensemble – we can only wish!
This tiny belt-like skirt is available on the Miu Miu website now for any of you in the market, and it's on sale for a casual £580 – now that's not a good fabric to pound ratio…

It's not just the young Gen-Z's who are baring all in the name of fashion, 54 year old actress Nicole Kidman looks out of this world on the latest cover of Vanity Fair in the exact same skirt – now we love a lady who isn't afraid to take risks.
So what do you think of the micro mini trend? Are you brave enough to bare it all?
