While theLove Island contestants may spend much of their time walking around the villa in bikinis and swimming trunks, Islanders are less casual when it comes to date nights and evening parties.
Fromshimmering sequin dresses to dopamine dressing, it’s clear that this year’s singletons know a thing or two about pulling a killer outfit together.
And noweBay,the official fashion partner of the show, is forecasting that pre-loved cut out dresses are set to be a popular trend this summer.
Throughout the series, the contestants have been seen sporting the look, withIndiyah Polack channeling major Y2K vibes during the launch show in a turquoise Poster Girl cut out dress.
As a brand loved by celebrities including Dua Lipa, Kylie Jenner and Paris Hilton, it’s clear that the cut out look is a firm favourite among A-listers.
What’s more, with Love Island championing sustainable fashion this year, Indiyah’s second hand look cost almost half the original price, coming in at £70 rather than the £115 retail price.
But she’s not the only Islander to show off her enviable fashion credentials – fellow contestantPaige Thorne opted for a stunning Sorelle cut out dress at the beginning of the series.
Besides ticking the cut out box, the £10 dress was also reversible and could be worn two ways.
During the show’s recent Shimmer and Shine party,Tasha Ghouri showed that she was also a fan of the look as she wowed in a bright green sequin dress with some cut out detailing.
And the look isn’t just reserved for the original lineup either – bombshell Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has been getting in on the action too and was spotted wearing a green cut out dresswhile sneaking off for a secret kiss with newcomer Jay Younger.

The news comes after OK! spoke to show stylist Amy Bannerman about the fashion in this year’s series, as well as what we can expect from the looks going forward.
In terms of the different looks available to the Islanders this year, she explained: “We've mixed in vintage and 80s, and within the themes we've tried to tick off everything we think they'd like.
“So latex, and supporting lots of different brands and styles. In past seasons it has been quite same-y – tight clothes, colourful dress – but now the islanders can wear things that are completely different to showcase their own unique styles.”
