There’s certainly no shortage of drama in Albert Square, but the cast members of EastEnders have been providing their own with their dramatic beauty makeovers over the years.

The cast of the BBC1 soap may have changed since the first episode aired in 1985, and many have undergone some impressive off screen changes, too. Whether it’s Kacey Ainsworth cutting off her hair in favour of a dramatic blonde pixie cut or Jacqueline Jossa having a major glow up off-screen, here are some of the best beauty transformations from Eastenders stars.

Jacqueline Jossa

After joining Eastenders in 2010, Jacqueline Jossa became a fan favourite over her seven years on screen before leaving in 2017. Since her departure, Jacqueline has had quite the glow up – including a big hair change.

After ditching her dark curls and choppy fringe, the actress now has long, soft brunette locks that she typically wears in loose, beachy curls. Although, she has experimented with an ombre style over recent years. Jac has also become somewhat of a style icon, launching her own collections with online fashion retailer In The Style.

Natalie Cassidy

Natalie Cassidy has been a staple of the soap since her first appearance as Sonia Fowler in 1993. The actress first joined the cast when she was just 10 years old and has undergone several major style transformations as she’s grown up on our screens.

Although usually known for her brunette waves, Natalie has opted for much darker curls in recent years, as well as crediting her new found love of running for helping her maintain a weight that she was comfortable with. After years of fluctuating weight, and revealing she felt she was bordering on an eating disorder when she released her first fitness DVD, the star ran the London Marathon in 2019 and has said she finally feels at ease in her body.

Letitia Dean

Original cast member Letitia Dean has been in the soap since the very first episode and over the years has spoken candidly about her battles with yo-yo dieting. However the actress, who plays Sharon Watts, returned to the soap last year and had undergone quite the makeover.

Letitia credited appearing on Strictly Come Dancing with helping her make a full lifestyle change. After admitting she felt great after completing the dancing competition, which includes a gruelling training schedule, Letita went on to drop four dress sizes in four months thanks to a new, more active lifestyle.

Kacey Ainsworth

Kacey Ainsworth was known for playing sweet fan-favourite Little Mo between 2000 and 2006, and maintained the same look throughout her time on the show, with a jet black colour choppy fringe. After she left the soap, Kacey decided to experiment with some other colours, and at one point sported a vibrant auburn bob with blonde ombré ends.

However, her most recent look is the most dramatic of all. Kacey wowed fans in 2019 when she debuted a dramatic platinum pixie cut at the Autism Hero Awards. Although the pixie cut has grown out into a long bob now, Kacey has stuck with the platinum blonde shade, showing off her natural curls onInstagram.
