DFS is reopening three showrooms tomorrow, with the rest of its stores following suit from next week.
The furniture retailer has confirmed it’ll be opening showrooms in Bolton, Leicester and Milton Keynes on May 22.
The rest of its branches will then reopen in stages from next Friday, May 29.
The update from DFS follows the government easing restrictions on homeware retailers and garden centres.
Other retailers, including Furniture Village and Dunelm, have also started reopening branches.
To keep staff and customers safe, DFS says it'll be following strict social distancing guidelines in stores.
In addition, there will be hand sanitiser stations, daily temperature checks for employees, along with gloves and face masks, and a limit on how many customers are allowed inside at one time.
The furniture retailer has also introduced an appointment system for customers who want to seek advice and purchase furniture.
Shoppers will be allowed to visit stores for a comfort test of a product, but they'll be encouraged to complete their order online or over the phone.
From tomorrow, customers will be able to book an appointment via the DFS website,
To book an appointment, use the store location tool to find your nearest branch, and then click "book an appointment".
DFS closed all its stores on March 23 and temporarily stopped all deliveries.
The retailer is now offering a limited delivery service across England, based on the location of their distribution centres.
DFS is currently not delivering to any homes where the customer is shielding.
In these instances, DFS says it will offer a revised doorstep delivery option, or will store the order until the delivery can be fulfilled safely.
DFS, which has around 120 shops in the UK, charges £69 for delivery and installation.
